Summary | 09108: congo and clones: Samples do not play correctly | ||||
Description |
The percussion samples get cut extremely short and at times do not play at all, making the main beat nearly unrecognizable compared to original hardware: https://files.catbox.moe/rlfc7c.wav This is similar to an issue that was present in MAME 0.139, but the cutoffs have gotten worse since then: https://files.catbox.moe/dtls3d.wav MAME 0.106 plays the samples correctly: https://files.catbox.moe/kfl20t.wav Additionally the gorilla sample should play five times instead of three, with shorter pauses. It does so in 0.106, in current MAME it feels like it's skipping every other sample. Original hardware reference: |

Regression version is the first one to show the fault. You need to fix this. |

True, but I wanted to specify that it's gotten worse since then, plus that's a fairly old report. |
