Coin up & Select your Ship During the launch sequence (Plane taking off) Hold down a direction You should notice a freeze during the level transition (when the screen fades to black/loading the next level) |

It stutters in 0.272 too, just for a much shorter duration. Anyway, CPU freqs are the same, screen freq is the same. And it doesn't have the encrypted NEC CPU, so if it's an unintended regression (not caused by a bugfix), it's none of those at least. I don't see it happen on PCB videos. |

https://github.com/mamedev/mame/commit/d1cbfd7909c95cb8e3edfd0132ee113d11f13c99 This brings it back to how it was in 0.272, but as I said, it still does a brief stutter. It's easy to see from PCB videos that the longer stutter does not happen there. But the shorter one, I don't know. |
