Version should be 0.238 for the specific game mentioned. It was just recently added. |

That is correct Bob thanks! I can confirm that Green Beret does indeed work if the disk drive is disabled. I have checked the 6 games that failed on my latest pull request no. #8852 and one game (H.E.R.O.) actually does work with the disk drive being disabled. The other 5 still continue to have loading issues. I will check through all of my submissions and promote any others to working status over the next few days. Thanks for pointing this out. |

yeah, might want to put usage notes to indicate that for the software known to not like it; it's not uncommon for software to expect additional hardware to be disconnected (some copy protection schemes don't play nice with it, while on other systems it means less memory is available for the games, or the device ROM being executed has shifted an assumed memory layout around) |

Thanks David. I was thinking the same thing and I had already added usage notes to PR#8852. I plan to do the same for any others marked as not supported but work with disk drive disabled. |

I have just submitted a pull request to resolve this issue: https://github.com/mamedev/mame/pull/8881 I found 2 more games (flintstn & ghostbsta) that load correctly with the floppy disk drive disabled. Once the PR is merged, this issue can be marked as resolved. |
