Summary | 08111: dn3500 and clones: Apollo machines cannot load programs from tape | ||||
Description |
All Apollo machines hang forever when trying to load a program from tape, which makes it impossible to install the OS. This seems to be a regression, since versions before 0.234 worked fine. This also seems to prevent the OS from booting from HDD in newer versions once installed. |
||||
Steps To Reproduce |
- Delete the dn3500 CFG and NVRAM files so the machine is in the default state - Run "mame dn3500 -ctape domainos" (needs the "domainos" set from the software list) - When the machine starts, press ENTER a few times until the "MD7C REV 8.00..." message appears - Run the command DI C - Run the command EX CONFIG - Wait approximately 7 minutes for the tape to load (can be fast-forwarded) On versions 0.233 and older, the configuration program appears (see screenshot for what it should look like) On versions 0.234 and newer, the machine never finishes loading the program. |

That commit I've ID'd as the killer, as near as I can tell, from daily build testing. |
