Summary | 08091: aliensyn: Incorrect rendering on title screen.
Description | On the title screen, several different tile layers slide onto the screen. In previous MAME versions, this effect is rendered flawlessly. Now they are corrupted. The first tile layer is shown with incorrect transparency until the final move. The other layers partially disappear for one frame before their final movement.

I’m not seeing this at all. Have you tested this with a clean install or at least deleted your aliensyn nvram folder to see if that is causing the corruption? The screen background graphics that make up the parts of the title screen sequence appear randomly selected. If it only appears with some of the selections it would be helpful to have a screenshot of the corruption. I just watched the title sequence many times on aliensyn in MAME 0.235 and see no corruption or transparency issues. I paused the game just before the title sequence and used Shift + P to step through the paused frames and it all looks normal. |

The first block panning in is corrupted while it's moving. This is the same on the PCB, so BTANB: #t=56m35s The 1-frame disappearing of the blocks was 'accidentally' fixed by me I think, over here: https://mametesters.org/view.php?id=8065 |

marked BTANB for the claim "The first tile layer is shown with incorrect transparency until the final move" I do not believe "In previous MAME versions, this effect is rendered flawlessly" |
