Summary | 07951: beezer1: self test not working | ||||
Description |
A few years ago, I asked how to go into self-test on MAME, as the manual states: >To enter test mode: >(a) Power down >(b) Turn on while holding down 1P / 2P start switches I was told in a reply by Haze: >hold start1+start2 (1+2) and press F3 This works on the parent set (beezer), but does not work on the older set (beezer1). It is not a PC problem that my PC can't send 1, 2 & F3 at the same time, as it works fine in beezer. |
||||
Steps To Reproduce |
I did this under MAMEUI (version 230), using MAME64 version 230)... Started beezer1 Once in game over/attract mode held down 1 2 hit F3 Nothing happenes. Should go into self-test, as the beezer set does. |

It is safe to say given the beezer1 (unknown earlier version) doesn't have a test mode or wasn't designed with one. For example, searching for "GRIDS" or any other unique string the the Self Test in the parent set (beezer), it is found. If you try the same on beezer1 (unknown earlier version) - there is no text or code found to support it. Closing - not a bug. |
