Summary | 07865: wrally, wrally2: World Rally 1 and 2 are missing a shifter ICON. | ||||
Description |
World Rally 1 and its sequel used an up/down SHIFTER, same kind as outrun. Both games should have the shifter icon visible in MAME, but it is not available inside Video Options. This hasn't been added in MAME for these games, despite some italian guys have implemented it unofficialy, by adding an artwork file for each game. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=163697.0 |

This is a feature request, not a bug. If you want to add an internal layout for these games you can, but it isn’t a bug. |

I don't know how to do that. Maybe a pull request? |

If you have the code to accomplish this, you can send in a pull request from your repository. Someone with knowledge of the code and artwork will likely need to work this out. It is logged now, so only a matter of time. |

My main doubt with this is that World Rally uses automatic shifting if you have joystick control selected in the dips, so adding a shifter artwork would probably generate confusion. The artwork should be made to only appear when wheel inputs are selected via dip. |
