Summary | 07624: mtlchamp and clones: Echo/reverb effect missing from voice and music samples.
Description | Related to ID 03656. Problem stems from inaccurate K054539 emulation affecting Konami games.
Steps To Reproduce | Listen to the intro music. The music ends with a booming orchestra hit that can't be heard in MAME because of the missing reverb effect. There is also a strong reverb of the character voices when they yell out their special moves. This missing effect can be easily observed in MAME during an attract mode demo fight where there is no background music. All of the announcer voice samples are missing their reverb and voice samples such as the announcement of the characters' names and the winner of the round are missing an additional echo effect.
Additional Information |
Reference recording: Attract mode intro starts at 4:46, ending with the orchestra hit at 4:59. It is then followed by a demo play that highlights the characters' reverberating voice samples. |

In my opinion this sound bug is very clear. BTW, very good reference material :) |
