Description |
Would you guys give me time to return a feedback, BEFORE, closing the report? We live in a different time zone, we have work and other things going on. Thank you! I ran the git version instead of final, so the bug is on git (mame0197-212-gf857d267f5-dirty) |

After changing any DIP/Input settings you have to reset the machine for it to take effect. Use the Reset option after changing Dip Switches. |

yes, confirmed it works as expected after resetting. You'll notice "No death" will appear on the bottom right during gameplay. |

This is by design. Not all games' DIP switches are read all the time and are only polled on board reset. The function does indeed work as intended, requiring the board to be reset which can be done via the menu option under the DIP switches, or using SHIFT+F3 (Hard Reset). Regular F3 (Reset) usually works, but is not guaranteed. In the future, do not use a binary that isn't the MOST RECENT INTEGER RELEASE to base any bug report. Using Git (in-progress) builds are not covered here. Whether something works or doesn't in the last released version is all this site cares about. If you have in-progress issues you need to report, you can post to any MAME official or related forum, MAME social presence location, Github Issues or even Reddit at r/mame and it will likely be seen by someone quickly enough.
