Summary 06635: renegade and clones: [possible] Possible speed issues
Description I came across the following Renegade (pcb) gameplay video on Youtube which seems to suggest the game runs much more fluidly than the mame emulation: mame seems very choppy by comparison.

I'm aware that it may just be a bootleg version (although from viewing the owner's other videos, he *seems* to only collect originals) which has corrected the original's slowdown by using faster clocked cpu chips etc., but as this is a Technos game I thought it might be a similar situation to the Double Dragon slowdown, in which the game ran too slowly in mame for years until the emulation was fixed.

Anyway, actual pcb footage seems hard to find for this game so I thought i'd write a report about it.

Another pcb gameplay. This video is pure gold:

The game definitely runs awkward and slow in MAME.

What about removing the "possible" flag and consider this a legit issue?

Thanks for the additional research MetalGod.

This seems to be fixed in 0.221.
