When hit one soldier have voice in Heavy Barrel US set. The world version not have voice. I not known the original arcade. The arcade has the same issue ? Thanks for read my post. |

It does seem odd that there is no sound when enemies die and yet when you get hit or grab weapons there is a sound effect. There is also a known problems with this machine regarding ROM not being correctly dumped flag, but don't know if it ties into this issue. |

I've tested back to MAME 0.61 and it has always been that way for the World set. You can still hear that voice effects are still working when you get the "GO!" scream at the beginning of the game. I'm willing to wager that lack of screams and grunts may be by choice and not an emulation error, but stranger things have happened. All we could really do here mark it possible and hope someone with World PCB (US is the common one) can verify. The youtube video I spied clearly states US and does the voices. |

Here's a recording of the JAPAN version of the game, undumped at the moment. In this version soldiers don't make any sound, same as "world" version behaviour |
