Summary | 05590: daimyojn: Game settings (soft DIP) are not preserved. | ||||
Description |
Game settings are not preserved if you exit the game and re-run. This game uses service menu configurations for some settings like Demo Sound, In Game Sound etc.. not just DIP-SW's After enabling these (in mame all OFF by default) game works OK in that session even you reset (F3) the game. But if you exit and re-enter game, all settings are OFF/Disabled again. Also I noticed, when you run the game init screen says: BACKUP RAM CHECK then MEMORY CLEAR (red letters) and settings are gone. if you reset (F3) it says: BACKUP RAM CHECK then BACKUP RAM OK (blue letters) settings are still valid. thanks. |
||||
Steps To Reproduce |
Run game, enter service menu (F2, then reset) in ** SELECT MENU ** screen press J for CONFIGURATION then press Z (ron key) for initialize (default) settings, which will enable everything. Exit with P1 start key. to exit service menu press F2 then press P1 start or reset. You'll see demo sound will play and other settings works. Then exit game, re-run, no sound, settings are gone. This may be game bug yes but I think this is unlikely. thanks. |

NVRAM doesn't seem to be hooked up for that machine driver. |

Putting NVRAM in the 0x6000 - 0x6fff range, the game writes data but it writes DAIRENSO, which is another undumped mahjong game. (?!) |
