Description |
i have noticed that when playing pang (world) and bootleg sets 1 and 2, that during the title screen when the large 'PANG' logo is displayed, there is a gfx problem occurring as the words 'INSERT COIN' are displayed on and off (see the picture below which shows the problem). also, during the attract mode gameplay demonstration (AFTER the game instructions/strategy/tutorial is displayed), the actual bubbles/balls themselves 'error' also (kind of 'flicker'), each time the words 'INSERT COIN' are displayed. * this problem does not seem to occur with the arcade pcb (as shown between approx 0.52 to 0.57 seconds of the youtube video below...) * this problem does not occur for the 'bootleg set 3' version of pang (however, that version lacks sound). * for the US capcom license of this game (called Buster Bros) this problem does not occur on the title screen logo (which uses a different logo design saying 'Buster Bros' instead of 'Pang'), however the problem (bubbles/balls 'flickering') does still occur during the attract mode gameplay demonstration. |

Likely related to 04873, which was resolved for 0.146u1. I don't see it happening in u1 or current SVN, so please check u1 to verify it is fixed. |

ok thanks i will try, i did try to get u1 yesterday but only found 64bit build on mameui site (im on xp 32bit) |

cool i just tried the tests again using 32bit 146 u1 build from antopisa's progetto snaps site, and it looks like the gfx errors have indeed gone away for all pang versions (world, bootlegs, and bbros) ... so looks like this puppy can be closed ^_^ |
