Summary | 04585: triothep, actfancr and clones: misplaced/missing graphics | ||||
Description | in some places both games have missing or misplaced graphics. In most places is not too visible (like during attract in Act Fancer - black lines, or attract in Trio - wrongly moving pipes) but there some places (like first boss in Act Fancer) where you clearly see missing/misplaced graphics. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | Run both games and observer graphics during attract mode (easier) or start game (harder to notice) | ||||

trio the punch looks like a priority issue. not too unexpected, should be easy to fix. actfancer, maybe sprite wraparound, but I thought that was trusted against othe games with the same sprite chip, bit weird.. the line gaps / breakup could be an original bug tho, seems to only happen when moving so unless there are some extra sprite buffers / dma on that specific board... |

actfancr boss background is fixed (needed wider tilemap setting) I'd still like to work out where that setting comes from, but I'm starting to think it's based on an external pin / amount of RAM on the PCB. sprite lag still needs more investigation, there are explicit buffer requests, but it seems there's some further buffering, or just plain layer misplacement (maybe related to the boulderdash layer misplacement, need to check) priority on triothep I'll get to in a bit. |

Ok, I'' tested a bit. On second level just before boss platform graphics is invisible. Besides that last visible platform is shifted a bit (you'll die if you try to move to the edge). Attached shots. One thing. In 141 those emplty lines also appear but on boos for example so in place where games is missing graphics. |

I tested game in 144u7 (I never used SVN) then I tested with 141 version to compare results. Do you plan post fix in 145 ? I used cheat to play, is this might cause missing platforms? |

Tested 145, missing graphic is again visible. Lines are still present. Thanks Haze, game is again playable :) About those lines. This was visible even before 142 but I simply noticed this. For example missing lines (or shifted graphics) is still present when you approach first boss and exactly where previously graphics starts to disappear. |
