The nature of Discrete components is that they are funny things. From machine to machine, it is and generally is possible that sounds will output differently in pitch and volume due to age and/or fitness of the components involved. Most of the time, discrete sound is derived from printed schematics from service manuals and the like - so such output should be accurate to what the machine should be expected to be.

I'm sorry, though. We got a lot of Donkey Kong (and friends) related sound reports - it's just impossible to deal with them if you are not clear and concise and provide examples in recorded form what you mean. The "jump sounds seems low" can be taken a different ways such as " volume is too low", "pitch is too low". Your description, honestly, is insufficient to maintain a bug here.

Please improve on this report and provide some well-documented proof or I will need to close it.

Probably we should close this report unless definitive information that could help devs to improve the driver is provided.

We can't accept this incomplete report. Most of us know sounds are incorrect in some of discrete games, but a bug reporter should be more technically specific, because someone will handle what you report in the future.

Testers is not a free customer support of MAME, it doesn't work out if we can't communicate each other. I don't encourage reports like this.

Closing.
