Steps To Reproduce |
Compare sound effects from original machines to MAME. TRON Skip to 6:53 to hear the PLAYER lightcycle crash, 7:13 to hear the ENEMY lightcycle crash. SATAN'S HOLLOW Skip to 7:54-7:56 to hear Beelzebub's fire and death, eggs fire at 8:04-8:06, player's death sound at 8:57-9:00. |

I think noise sounds are wholly "dark" and "boxy" in the video. I watched some other arcade Tron videos, they are all like it. If we have a direct recording of the real PCB, we can exclude the effect of the box cabinet and speaker. |

Good observation Fujix. I would agree that as the text is typing out the instructions, the pitch is much lower on the original machines vs. MAME. I didn't notice that before. I hope someone can provide a direct recording from their machine, these machines are long gone from our arcade. |
