that doesn't happen here, maybe it's a problem with the filter you're using.

I'm not seeing any issue with presentation. The score is suppose to be, as far as I am aware, on the bottom left.

I sincerely hope you are confirming with a normal MAMEUI build and not something like MAMEPLUS..

Just how far down off the bottom is the score supposed to show? Earlier MAME's show the score with a few pixels underneath. A PCB source picture / recording would be helpful in determining exactly where it's supposed to sit.

it still sounds like a video card driver problem, MAME isn't outputting clipped text, even if the bottom of the text is the bottom of the output.

visible area could be up for debate, but the I think the tester would still find 2-3 lines being clipped off the bottom due to their driver issue, even if it wasn't being clipped off the text anymore.

Sounds reasonable. I'll wait to see if anyone else can see this score text cutoff and we can compare os/v. card and driver versions.

I don't have the problem either with a GeForce 9800 card. I bet this is not a MAME problem.

Maybe, in some cases, -verbose output will help seeking out the cause of problem.

I found the same problem with other games... (gunfront, gunforce and pbancho)

-verbose on MAMEUI where's?

P.S. if use Direct3D Version 8, MAMEUI says "Unable to initialize Direct3D"...but... the game run without text problem...

For the record, mine is a GeForce 6100 on-board display - no cutting off of the text on the bottom. Could this be an ATI card/driver issue with D3D?

I have to guess that prescale is what is causing the issues for you. That is not a setting I use. Try a default prescale value of 1. Once you start adjusting the multiplying the display before rescaling back to your display resolution, there are bound to be shifted and duplicated lines which could very well be causing the issue you are seeing, since the F12 only shows what is being emulated before any video effect or other video commands.

Others might be able to explain prescale better - as I don't use or have a lot of first-hand knowledge using it.

Yes Tafoid, was just the prescale... but because in other games I did not see this problem???

I'm a bad tester :)
