go to dipswitches menu put freeplay ON reset with F3 press START-> the How-to background screen is corrupted press button to start game-> background palette is corrupted |

It's almost certainly broken on the real board (sadly the real board is now broken) Other Semicom games have issues in Freeplay mode, Cookie and Bibi 3 for example will give you negative credits, broken levels, and eventually crash. It's Korean, the quality control was 0. I'm not convinced the background colour is correct in normal cases either mind, I have to use a different pen to avoid ugly black areas on the title screen, but according to Smitdoggs original reference video those might actually appear as black rather than the correct shade of brown (I'm not really trusting it due to his dodgy setup tho) |
