Description |
There seems to be a major slowdown in the emulation of ertictac with the current u releases. I've tested it on my own build with 0138 u3 (no official build on u releases). Previously (i.e. up to the 0138 official build), my PC was able to run this old game at normal speed, now it skips 10/10 frames and the speed is around 80 % I think that the C++ification of the code is hidden behind it. |

This did slowdown a bit in 0.138u2, yes, but it didn't trigger the 20% slower in my testing (it's more like 10-15% slower overall) and the other game in the driver seems unaffected. I'm not sure if anything can be done to 'revert' this, but I'll add it to the proper bug report (03889) which may or may not be able to be corrected and may simply be the 'cost' of doing business with MAME as it's constantly refactored. |
