Summary | 03811: "Roc'n Rope" clone named "Rope Man" is missing in MAME | ||||
Description |
Rope Man is an european clone of Roc'n Rope. Rope Man was available long time ago in MAME. I was not able to find out when it first disappeared from a MAME version, but it is a clone which was widely available in european countries. |

The best way to add unsupported roms is to submit them to MAMEDEV via the online forms. Of course, any pcb pictures or games running in real hardware will add to the verification that it's indeed a valid bootleg to be added. Do not add rom images to this site (for copyright reasons). |

it was a graphic hack (no code changes) which is why it was removed as per policy at the time, but I'm inclined to agree it should be supported, it was a fairly common bootleg. |

Poking around, I find mention that this was a copyright/graphic hack. It has two things going for it for support now, though - a unique encryption (the parent set's encryption supposedly does not work) and that it was an actual PCB (common bootleg per Haze), not some TURACO made graphic hack. Nicola *might* have notes for the encryption as he was working on it before it was dropped, but I would not believe it would be overly difficult to merge this. |
