Summary	03648: pc_golf: Missing music
Description	Golf (PlayChoice-10) has only some sound effects and not any music. All other PlayChoice games have music. I tested some older MAME versions, but there is also no N2A03 music sound. Perhaps the card rom is a wrong dump. The GAME_IMPERFECT_SOUND flag must be set.

I don't think it's possible that if sound effects come from an emulated chip and not music from the same chip. If I have to, I'll pull out my NES version of GOLF and test it, but I don't remember music in the game. Just a lot of beeps and other sound effects. Can you show us what music is supposed to be in it? Attach a recording sample or something else, please.

If you compare Playchoice games with their VSNES version, you hear that all VSNES versions have the same music. Balloon Fight (PlayChoice-10) - Vs. Balloon Fight Baseball (PlayChoice-10) - Vs. If you can find one, please share it's source. Every source and video i've seen of either NES Golf or PlayChoice-10 Golf does not have any music. The VSNES version is a completely different revision of the original game - different courses, sounds and some additional graphics.
No.05514 R. Belmont Developer Jan 16, 2010, 23:31	Yeah, I'm skeptical here too without video of the actual exact game on h/w. It's effectively impossible for sfx to play on the 2A03 without music also working.
No.05936 AWJ Developer Apr 3, 2010, 01:48	The program and graphic ROMs in pc_golf are byte-for-byte identical to the home NES cartridge (US version). And the home cartridge doesn't have music, only sound effects: Close this non-bug.
No.05938 Tafoid Administrator Apr 3, 2010, 12:18	I've been meaning to pull out my NES+Golf cart, but I suppose the video will suffice instead. I wanted a video with it showing off to power up state, because any fanfare will very first when you first power the game. Closing - but will reopen if my tests prove otherwise.
