Summary | 00224: macross2: After stage 1, the sound keeps going out and coming back. | ||||
Description |
After stage 1, the sound keeps going out and coming back. Updated by AWJ in 0.104u2: In addition to the problem noted in the bug, macross2 spews a lot of "OKIM6295 requested to play invalid sample" messages into the error log. tdragon2 (which runs on an identical board) does the same thing, though it has no obvious sound problems. Note that these two games have a regular Z80 driving what I've come to think of as the "NMK Sound System"; they don't use Nicola's MCU simulation. Follow-up by twisty: It keeps going to zero (which causes loss of life) shortly after you reach the level bosses, there's no way to reasonably destroy them with such a small amount of time left. The game definitely has some timing problems, with this issue making it unplayable for all intents and purposes. |
