Description |
On the pcb the main character gets killed by the first enemy instead in mame you can see a very long attract mode. The clocks are verified and the romset in the same as mame. |

checked the dipswitches etc.? made sure it's not a converted PCB? there are lots of reasons this can happen.. if the clock on the real PCB is even slightly off (0.01mhz) even it can throw the timings off, likewise video timings and anything else that could possible deteriorate. some games base the attract difficulty based on the dipswitches and don't compensate for it, others base it on an earlier version of the game, and it gets broken in later versions.. there are lots of reasons this can happen, but the fact that it works in MAME and not on the real PCB is suspicious, because it's usually the other way around... |

Haze hit it on the head right off - it's a DIP setting. Setting the DIP to "HARD" or "HARDEST" in MAME and the player in attract mode dies the same way. If anything, this validates how right MAME is doing it now. Please validate this info on your PCB so we can close this out. |

yes, i mistakenly put the dips in hard mode. Nevermind, it behaves like the pcb ;) |
