Summary | 00115: shangon3: is using the wrong set of CPU2 ROMs. | ||||
Description |
shangon3 is using the wrong set of CPU2 ROMs. It should be using epr10790, epr10791, epr10792, and epr10793, the same ROMs as the shangon set. Look at page 15 of the owner's manual on system16.com, downloadable at http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=697. Because of the mismatched ROMs, the road signs in this set don't match the actual course layout--e.g. right arrows sometimes appear before left turns and vice-versa. The reason is that the positions of the signs and other ground objects on each course are stored in CPU1's ROMs, but the curvature of the roads is stored in CPU2's ROMs. |
