| Description |
There are many things in Cuby Bop that make the game seem like it's a prototype (and it's probably by Hot-B instead of Taito). Some interesting things I found while playing Cuby Bop: 1) Press 1 player start while in the game to skip stages. 2) I looked in the graphics roms (press F4) and found that there is sort the logo (and a sort of a copyright notice) for Hot-B (which may explain why the music and sound FX are taken directly from Playgirls 2, another Hot-B game). It doesn't display on the screen, and I don't see any references to Taito, either. 3) At the end of the game (which seems to be after Stage 16), the game displays this: "Thank you for playing up to this game. You are a very good player, aren't you? Because this game is now under location test, we are very sorry not to show you the next stage of the game. We are terribly sorry for this and hope to see you again, sometime and someplace." |
